Across the globe, Space and Satellite technologies and ecosystems contributes and support the growth and development of key sectors such as communications (media and telecommunications), agriculture, disaster management and the environment by providing valuable data, information and connectivity.

Africa as a continent is also experiencing rapid growth in various sectors, however, the African satellite and space industry faces challenges such as fragmented efforts, high costs, and capacity deficiencies and policy and regulatory hurdles.

Africa Space and Satellite Association (ASSA) is formed to address and resolve these issues and to foster African focused industry and stakeholder collaboration and partnerships.
